Hi! I’m Lara, a self-admitted adventure junky and lover of all things outdoors. I am a marketer by day and the rest of the time you can find me running around Seattle or in the mountains. Welcome to my blog where I share stories, advice, and personal experiences from my life in Washington, as well as adventures around the country and the world.

A lot of what you’ll read was from the year that I spent fulfilling a life-long dream of residing in a van and traveling the US. Gertrude was a 1996 Chevy G10 van that I converted myself over the course of 2 months. She’s a bit rough around the edges since I took the complete DIY approach and had no idea what I was doing, but I learned a lot and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I traveled with my dog Simone from April 2016 to July 2017.

Another source of inspiration is from growing up overseas in Beijing, China and I spent most of my childhood traveling the world. I had the privilege of visiting Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, London, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, Peru, Cuba, and Argentina. Since I spent my younger years exploring the international playground, I did not travel much of the United States, which I’ve been making up for as an adult.
